Please see below for the campus parking and traffic regulations to include fine amounts for violations. If you receive a ticket, the fine will be placed on your student account and must be paid within 10 days. Appeals can be made using the ticket appeal process by completing and submitting an appeal form (Student Parking and Traffic Regulation Citation Appeal Form) within 10 days of the issue date of the ticket.
All students are allowed to have cars on campus (parking is free) but must abide by the parking and traffic regulations enforced by Campus Security. If a student intends to have a car on campus:
- All student, staff, and faculty cars must be registered, and a Wesleyan parking decal must be displayed. To register a vehicle, students, staff, and faculty, may go to the wesportal "forms" tab and select "Vehicle Registration Form" from the list to the left. Parking decals are free of charge and can be picked up in the Office of Student Affairs. Student parking spaces are not reserved, but are available on a first come, first served basis. All students without a parking decal will be ticketed.
- The College is not responsible for personal injury, damage to vehicles, vandalism, or theft of a vehicle or its contents.
- Reserved parking on campus is available for visitors and those with physical disability. Visitor and Handicapped spaces are clearly marked. Unauthorized students, staff, and faculty should not park in those spaces. General parking on campus is indicated by white lined spaces, and is open to all students, faculty and staff.
- Students, faculty, or staff members who drive a non-registered vehicle on campus, and it is a temporary arrangement, may request a temporary parking dashboard pass from Student Affairs. This pass is to remain visible on the dashboard of the car for the duration of time the car will be on campus. The temporary parking passes will be dated for the period of time needed.
- Students, faculty, or staff members who plan to have visitors parking vehicles on campus should contact Student Affairs for instructions.
- Students, faculty, or staff members who need to park in an unauthorized area, temporarily, should contact Campus Security for authorization and instructions. If Campus Security observe cars parked in unauthorized areas, and they have not been informed, the vehicles will be ticketed.
- There is no authorized parking around the Main Quad on front campus except for exceptions designated by Campus Security.
- Our campus speed limit is 15 m.p.h.
- Driving is restricted to campus streets. Parking is permitted in designated parking spots only. No parking is permitted next to yellow curbs.
- No Student parking allowed behind the Library or along the white curb in Parking lot A. Students should contact Residence Life about the appeal process.
