Students are encouraged to make study abroad an integral part of their educational journeys. Wesleyan makes studying abroad affordable and attainable for all students by providing scholarships, credit approval, and a variety of short-term and long-term programs all over the globe and in all fields of study.
Wesleyan faculty often lead special study groups to places like Jamaica, Italy, China, France, the Netherlands, and Costa Rica. These short-term programs allow students to travel internationally with a group of classmates as part of their coursework.
For extended experiences, Wesleyan College has direct exchange agreements with a network of five colleges in Northern Ireland and with schools in China, South Korea, Canada and Japan. Students may choose to spend a summer, semester or year abroad at one of our partner schools for nearly the same cost as a semester at Wesleyan.
For a wider array of destinations, Wesleyan maintains cooperative agreements through several study abroad consortia that offer extensive course catalogues and internship experiences in more than 40 countries including Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Australia, Japan, and Morocco.

I have learned so much about Spanish culture in different regions and how deeply rooted it is. The languages here all have a strong connection to the people who use them. Every place I have visited has been absolutely beautiful and the history is phenomenal. I know when I return to Wesleyan I'll have so much confidence in my language skills, a better understanding of Spanish culture and a few words of Catalan under my belt!”
Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1-5PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.Event listing
