Whether you are a first year, transfer, or international student, we are looking forward to helping you start your journey at Wesleyan College. New Student Orientation programming is designed to help all new students in their transition to campus. Please see our programs below for more information about what to expect.
Spring Orientation is a one-day program required for all new students who are starting classes at Wesleyan in January 2020. During this session, you will receive information about academic expectations, campus resources, and learn more about student life. Spring Orientation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
Spring classes begin on Monday, January 13, 2020. If you have any questions about Spring Orientation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. More information will be emailed to new students directly.
Summer Orientation is a one-day program required for first year students. You will discuss your course schedule with an academic advisor, learn more about student resources available on campus, and connect with current students, faculty, and staff. While you are in your sessions, your family will be invited to attend sessions to help them get connected to our community and learn about the resources available to them.
Classes begin Monday, August 17, 2020. More information about Summer Orientation, including the RSVP form to choose your preferred date and specific times for programming, will be posted to this page by April 1, 2020. Before you arrive for Summer Orientation, please make sure that you have completed all of the requirements listed on the Accepted Students page. If you already know that you have an extenuating circumstance that will prevent you from attending a session in person (ex. you are a first-year international student or are traveling from another state), please email email@example.com.
Get ready to make Wesleyan your home away from home! If you plan to live on campus, make sure to submit your housing application as soon as possible to reserve your space. Residence Life will notify all new students of their housing assignment by July.
New student move-in will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 for first-year and transfer students. You will receive more information from Residence Life, including your specific move-in time, what to bring, and how to prepare for move-in, as we get closer to the fall.
If you are an international student, please visit the International Admissions page for more information about move-in dates, transportation to campus, registering for classes, and deadlines for documentation.
Are you ready to join the PACK? PACK Weekend is Wesleyan’s signature fall orientation program and will be held from Friday, August 14, 2020 to Sunday, August 16, 2020. During this weekend, your Orientation Leader (OL) will lead you in sessions to engage with your new classmates, get to know faculty and staff, and learn how to navigate campus and academic life. All new students are required to attend PACK Weekend programming; specific schedules for first year, transfer, and international students will be available on this page by July 15, 2020.
PACK Weekend will officially begin with the Matriculation Ceremony on Friday, August 14, 2020.
