YOUR FUTURE, UP CLOSE

Spend a Saturday on campus getting to know Wesleyan - hearing directly from our President, exploring our beautiful grounds, sharing lunch with the community, and getting real answers about admission, financial aid, and student life. You’ll meet the professors, coaches, and students who will be in your corner from day one - and experience what makes Wesleyan feel like home.

Who’s invited:

  • High school students (all grades) and transfer students
  • Families and supporters are strongly encouraged to attend

Special highlights:

  • Bring a Friend: Roll up with your bestie - if you both register and attend, you’ll each snag a free Wesleyan sweatshirt or hoodie. Exploring college is more fun side by side, and you might just meet your future best friends here. To participate in this promotion, you and your friend must both complete the registration form on this page. After you both register, please email Skylar Torres at storres@wesleyancollege.edu confirming your registration and providing the full name and email address of you and the friend you’re bringing, along with your sweatshirt/hoodie size (small, medium, large, x-large).
  • Seniors: Students who register and attend will receive a $1,000 credit toward their student bill in their first year at Wesleyan College.*
  • On-the-Spot Scholarship Review: Seniors are encouraged to bring an unofficial high school transcript for real-time admission and scholarship consideration. If you've already been admitted and have received updated unofficial transcripts since you applied, bring them with you and we'll evaluate your eligibility for a scholarship upgrade!
  • Please dress comfortably for walking; free parking is available on campus.
  • Spanish speaking staff will be on-site to support visitors who prefer support in Spanish

*The $1,000 credit is available to first-time recipients only. Students who have previously attended another Wesleyan campus event and received this credit are not eligible to receive it again.

AGENDA

10:30–11:00 AM | Arrival & Check-In

Begin your day by arriving on campus and check in with our welcoming team. Pick up your Experience Wesleyan Day Welcome Kit, and enjoy light refreshments, tea, and coffee as you meet members of our community. It’s a relaxed moment to take your first steps on campus, find your bearings, and start imagining what life here could feel like.

11:00–11:30 AM | A Wesleyan Welcome with President Meaghan Blight

Welcome to Wesleyan. President Meaghan Blight opens the day by sharing why Wesleyan’s mission - accelerating equality for women - matters now more than ever, and how that mission comes to life in the everyday experiences of our students. She’ll offer her vision for the next four years and what it looks like to grow in confidence, purpose, and leadership at Wesleyan. Bring your questions for an interactive conversation with the President.

Named one of Macon Magazine’s Top 5 Under 40, President Blight is building a student experience rooted in belonging, ambition, and care - and she’s eager to share what that could mean for you.

11:30 AM–12:30 PM | Campus Tours

Join a Wesleyan Student Ambassador and see campus through their eyes. Wander past historic marble-clad buildings, along magnolia-lined pathways, and beside our tranquil lake and fountain - spaces where students study, gather, and take a breath between classes.

You’ll step inside academic and community spaces and tour our beautifully renovated first year dorm, Banks Hall, imagining what your first year of on-campus living could look like at Wesleyan.

12:30–1:30 PM | Lunch in Anderson Dining Hall

Share a meal in our beautiful Anderson Dining Hall - a favorite daily gathering place for Wesleyan students. Grab a seat with current students, faculty, and staff to swap stories, ask candid questions, and experience the kind of conversations that shape life here. It’s more than lunch - it’s a moment to feel the warmth of our community and picture yourself as part of it.

1:30–2:15 PM | Wesleyan 101: Inside the Wolfpack

At this point in the day, students and families will split into two interactive sessions - each designed to offer clarity, perspective, and meaningful conversation.

Student Session

Meet our Admission Counselors for a clear, student-centered overview of what comes next - whether you’re early in your college search or already imagining yourself at Wesleyan. You’ll learn about the application process and what we look for in future students, then hear from Student Life and join an Ask Wesleyan Students Anything panel.

This candid, unscripted conversation covers classes, campus traditions like PACK Weekend, clubs, wellness resources, leadership opportunities, and what day-to-day life at a women’s college is really like. For students considering Wesleyan in future years, we’ll briefly touch on how scholarships and financial aid work - but the heart of this session is about belonging, growth, and fit.

Parent & Supporter Sessions

Parents and supporters are invited to choose between two concurrent sessions, offered in English and Spanish, so every family can engage comfortably.

English Session:
Join an Affording Wesleyan conversation focused on understanding college costs, financial aid basics, and how Wesleyan’s scholarships and resources can make a private education attainable. You’ll also hear from our Center for Career Development about From Here to Career, Wesleyan’s four-year pathway to internships, confidence-building, and post-graduate success.

2:15–4:00 PM | Open Showcase: Choose Your Experience

As the day continues, explore Wesleyan your way. This open showcase is designed to meet you wherever you are - whether you know exactly what you want to study or are still discovering what excites you most. Experience an interactive session or meet with professors, staff advisors or current students one-on-one - or both!

Featured Interactive Experiences

2:30 – 3:00 PM Nursing: Step Into the Simulation

See how Wesleyan nurses train - before they ever step into a hospital. Inside our state-of-the-art Simulation Lab, you’ll experience the fast-paced, hands-on environment where learning feels real from day one. Watch current nursing students demonstrate skills like administering medications and starting IVs using our high-fidelity patient mannequins, responding to scenarios that mirror the teamwork and decision-making of a hospital floor.

It’s an up-close look at immersive confidence-building clinical preparation - with a touch of Grey’s Anatomy energy right here on campus.

2:30 – 3:00 PM Psychology: Can You Trust Your Own Memory? A real college class that might change how you see your own mind!

Join Dr. Bennett-Day for an interactive psychology class: Psychology of Eyewitness Memory: Why Seeing Isn’t Always Believing.

Discover how memories are formed, why they fail, and how psychologists study these breakdowns in labs and real courtrooms. You’ll ask questions, share reactions, and hear from current psychology students about research and life in the major. If you’re curious about human behavior, the brain, or how psychology shapes the justice system, this is a rare chance to experience college-level psychology up close.

2:30 – 3:00 PM Biology: Inside the Molecule of Life. Where science connects to medicine, technology, and your future.

What actually happens in a Wesleyan biology classroom? Find out in this engaging, interactive session with Dr. Holly Boettger-Tong: DNA: The Molecule of Life.

Explore how DNA works, why it matters, and how genetics connects to medicine and innovation. Expect discussion, discovery, and moments where complex science suddenly clicks. You’ll also talk with current biology students about research opportunities, pre-health pathways, and what it’s like to study science in small classes where professors truly know you.

3:00 – 3:30 PM Athletics: Choose the Right College - Not Just a Team

Everything you’ve heard about recruitment usually focuses on what you need to do - but choosing the right college is about much more than being on a roster.

Join Wesleyan’s coaching staff for an interactive session exploring  a smarter way to think about athletic recruitment, admissions, and financial aid - and how to evaluate colleges for true academic, athletic, and personal fit. Afterward, connect with current student-athletes and coaches for candid conversations about balancing competition, coursework, and campus life.

Explore Throughout the Showcase

Find Your Direction: Meet Professors & Explore Majors

Not sure what you want to major in? You’re in good company. Talk one-on-one with professors from the School of Global & Professional Studies, the School of Applied Sciences, and the School of Media, Arts & Culture. Explore majors, minors, and pre-professional pathways, ask real questions, and begin to see how your interests might take shape into a field of study that truly fits you.

Financial Aid: Personalized Support, Real Answers

One of the most important stops of the day. Whether you’ve already applied for Financial Aid or are still exploring future opportunities, these one-on-one conversations are your chance to understand your options, learn how to maximize all available funding, and get clear, honest answers about affordability - so you and your family can move forward with confidence.

Career & Community Connections

You’ll also connect with the Center for Career Development to learn how Wesleyan makes guaranteed paid internships possible for every student, and how we support students through personalized mentoring, employer partnerships, and our signature Creating Equal Opportunities Institute.
