Wesleyan offers a unique international experience embedded into the MBA program. In previous years, the MBA classes traveled to countries like Dubai, Italy, and Brazil. Our students immerse themselves in another culture, see how businesses function and engage with executives in global markets. Students compare methodologies used in the United States and enjoy dining, short excursions, and mingling with the locals. It mixes hands-on learning with the cultural benefits of traveling to another country.
We understand that for many, a 3-5 day trip isn't feasible. Students who would rather not travel are encouraged to engage in our international course option. Students in the class learn global business topics in the comfort of their usual classroom environment.
If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it is to adapt and overcome. We couldn't bring our scholars around the world in 2020. However, we still wanted to provide a safe, fun international experience close to home. We sponsored a trip to Atlanta for graduate students to work with companies that specialize in global trade. The weekend trip included meetings and conferences to discuss the same business practices used abroad.
