Music Performance (MUP) Graduate Course Descriptions

 
MUP 510 – 520 – 610 Applied Choral Conducting Lessons.
In this course, students will have intensive, one-on-one meetings with faculty to explore advanced artistic and technical topics in Choral Conducting through a wide range of repertoire. Students may choose an in-person, hybrid or online option for this course. In collaboration with faculty, students will have the opportunity to design custom learning goals and present a final product or performance of their efforts at the end of the course. Credit 1 hour each. Repeatable one time.
 

MUP 511 – 521 – 611 Applied Collaborative Piano Lessons.
In this course, students will have intensive, one-on-one meetings with faculty to explore advanced artistic and technical topics in Collaborative Piano through a wide range of repertoire. Students may choose an in-person, hybrid or online option for this course. In collaboration with faculty, students will have the opportunity to design custom learning goals and present a final product or performance of their efforts at the end of the course. Credit 1 hour each. Repeatable one time.

MUP 512 – 522 – 612 Applied Composition Lessons.
In this course, students will have intensive, one-on-one meetings with faculty to explore advanced artistic and technical topics in Composition through a wide range of repertoire. MUP 541 – 542 – 543 – 544 Collaborative Musicianship
Under the guidance of faculty, students will learn to collaborate with others in a musical setting and present a final product or performance of their collaborations. Students may choose an in-person or online option for this course. To that end, students will have the opportunity to design a custom project based on active musical collaboration with others. Credit 1 hour each. Repeatable one time.
