Library Floor Plans


1st Floor (Main Floor and 24-Hour Access)

The main floor of Willet Library is accessible 24 hours a day. Students, faculty and staff who would like 24-hour access must have a sticker on their ID. The 24-hour Policy and Willet Library Code of Conduct must be adhered to in the space.

Circulation, Reserves, current Periodicals, and Video-to-Go are housed on the first floor. The Academic Resource Center (ARC), including the Reference Center, Writing Center, and Testing Center, the Candy and Malcolm Burgess Design Lab and the Green Knight Classroom are also housed on the main floor of Willet Library.

  • Computers
    There are TWENTY computers for student use available on the main floor. Students needing assistance with e-mail or Microsoft Office applications, or who have other computer questions, should contact the Computer Help Desk. Laptop computers are available for loan to students for use INSIDE the library. In addition to the computers, the library also has 2 reservable multi-media tables, one located near the ARC and one in the Burgess dLab.
     
  • Classrooms
    LIB 101, the Green Knight Classroom, has video conferencing equipment, a green screen, and 2 production level video cameras. Access to this room may be obtained through a key at the circulation desk. Regular course meetings may be scheduled in these rooms. When not reserved for class, faculty and staff may reserve the room at the circulation desk, or by emailing kpeavy@wesleyancollege.edu when booking the room for use, please let us know if you need the green screen, cameras, or video conferencing equipment. Students may ask at the desk for access to LIB 101.
     
  • Seating
    The main floor of the library has many seating arrangements available for students. There are 2 high tables with power and USB ports. The large lounge seats up to 20 and has power and USB ports on the base. There are high backed privacy chairs, 20 ottomans, and several other soft seating areas.
     
  • Charging Towers & White Boards
    There are 8 towers with 9 power ports and 6 USB ports. There are also 8 white boards which can be moved around if necessary. Whiteboard kits can be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
     
  • Visitor Policy
    Willet Library is open to members of the greater Macon area as long as they adhere to the Willet Library Community Use Policy and the Willet Library Code of Conduct.
***No food allowed. All beverages on this floor must have a lid.

 

2nd Floor

The 2nd floor houses our Reference and most of the Periodicals.

  • Lounge (24-Hour Access)
    The second floor lounge is for students, staff, and faculty. Food is permitted ONLY in the Lounge. The lounge is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a cable TV with Wi-Fi access for streaming. Drink and vending snack machines are located in the lounge as well. Twenty-four lockers are provided on a first-come first-serve basis. Lockers can be checked out for 7 days.

  • Classrooms
    LIB 204 (30 seats) and LIB 208 (36 computers). Access to this room may be reserved through the portal. Regular course meetings may be scheduled in these rooms. When not reserved for class, students may reserve the Computer Lab to work on group collaborative projects.

  • Study Carrels and Tables
    There are 21 reservable study carrels and 11 non-reservable study carrels on the 2nd floor. Study carrel reservations are for the entire semester. There are seven study tables on the 2nd floor. These tables seat between four and ten students. Tables are first-come first-served.

  • Charging Towers
    There are 3 towers with 2 power ports and 2 usb ports. USB cords may be checked out from the circulation desk. There is also 1 rapid charging station.

***With the exception of the lounge, no food allowed. All beverages on this floor must have a lid.

 

3rd Floor

This floor is a QUIET ZONE. This floor contains all circulating items, including Scores, Oversize, and Juvenile Library circulating collection. Special Collections are also housed on the 3rd floor.

  • Study Carrels and Tables
    There are 26 reservable study carrels and seven non-reservable study carrels on the 3rd floor. Study carrel reservations are for the entire semester. There are four study tables on the 3rd floor. Tables are first-come, first-served.
     
  • Charging Towers
    There are 3 towers with 2 power ports and 2 usb ports. USB cords may be checked out from the circulation desk.

***No food allowed. All beverages on this floor must have a lid.

Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1-5PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.
