nursing applications to the bsn program are accepted based on the following schedule

How to Apply

  • Apply to Wesleyan College and the Nursing program for no cost. 
  • Register for TEAS exam (latest edition), fee for exam is $80.
  • TEAS exam will be available at Wesleyan College during application period
  • If a student takes the TEAS exam at other testing centers the offical scores must be sent to Wesleyan.

 

Admission Requirements

Admission to Wesleyan College does not guarantee admission to the Nursing Program. The Nursing Program is full time; class and clinical times can vary throughout the week. Please refer to the Wesleyan College catalogue.
 

Application Process
  1. Students should consult with advisors to ensure all necessary requirements to apply to the BSN Program are met. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that all requirements published on the official website and catalog are met.
  2. Not all qualified applicants will be admitted due to space limitations in the cohort.
  3. In order to apply, students must complete the following by the deadline:
    • Submit a completed application.
    • Obtain a satisfactory score on the TEAS Exam, (latest edition) refecting a 75 or higher composite score.
    • Obtain a grade of “C” or higher in pre-nursing Math, Science, and Psychology courses, all attempts within 5 years of starting the program are included.
    • In good academic standing and must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all pre-nursing general education care and concentration classes. By Application deadline, 5 of 7 pre-nursing math and science courses must be completed. Official Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam score (latest edition) reflecting a 75 or higher composite score.

Admission Process
  1. Admission decisions are made by the Wesleyan College Division of Nursing based on criteria approved by the nursing faculty.
  2. Students will be notified of acceptance decisions within 4-6 weeks of the application deadline.
  3. Accepted students must meet the requirements specified in their acceptance letter in order to secure their placement in the BSN Program.
  4. Once accepted, students must:
  • Completion of all concentration classes or their equivalents and have no more than six hours of required proficiency and general education classes outstanding.
  • Satisfy program orientation and on-boarding requirements.
