Professor Mattie Pieschel recently moved from Atlanta, GA, to Macon, GA, to join the Wesleyan community. She was born and raised in Springfield, MN and holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Marquette University (2015) and a Master of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Photography from Georgia State University (2021).
Pieschel's art practice includes analog photography and filmmaking, digital video, sound, found objects, and alternative photographic processes. Her work involves investigating the potentiality of disregarded, mundane, and ubiquitous spaces and materials. Find out more at www.madelinepieschel.net/.
