As the Director of Health and Wellness at Wesleyan College, Kathy Malone develops, promotes, manages, and implements an innovative and comprehensive recreational and wellness program for the college and community members.
On campus, Malone facilitates a fitness expo or a health fair, teaches fitness classes, and teaches CPR. She also sits on the National Exercise Trainers Association-Certification Board (NETA-CB) and maintains NETA certifications in group exercise instructor, wellness coach, pilates, yoga, and barre.
Malone holds a certificate in exercise physiology from Stanford Center for Health Education and is certified as a personal trainer in nutrition, wellness, and senior fitness by the American Fitness Professionals Associates. Additionally, she is an American Heart Association CPR Instructor and teaches the SilverSneakers program. She also serves as the HPE coordinator and health instructor at the Mathews Athletic Center.
