International First-Year Admission Process

Applying for college is an exciting step in your journey. Wesleyan's Admissions Office is eager to help and make this process as simple as possible. Please submit your admission support documents and contact us if you have questions about the admission process at admissions@wesleyancollege.edu.

 

STEP 1: Apply

Begin your International Application today. 

Application Timeline
  • APPLICATION OPENS: August 1
  • EARLY ACTION 1 Deadline: November 15
  • EARLY ACTION 2 Deadline: January 15 
  • EARLY OFFER 2: By March 01 (Offer to be released by)
  • PREMIER SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE: February 01
  • REGULAR DECISION DEADLINE: February 15
  • REGULAR DECISION OFFER: By March 31

 

*International students interested in applying after February 15 will need to work directly with the admissions team to receive approval. For consideration, email admissions@wesleyancollege.edu

 

STEP 2: Submit Documents

English translations of all application supporting documents can be sent to admissions@wesleyancollege.edu.

  • Official high school transcripts and score reports The admissions team will notify applicants if the curriculum requires further documentation.
  • Submit Personal Statement (250-500 words)
  • Standardized Test Scores (test-optional) If SAT or ACT test results do not appear on your transcripts and you would like them sent, you can arrange for a formal report of all college entrance exams to be sent to Wesleyan by the testing agency. Wesleyan’s identification codes are: SAT 5895; ACT 0876.
  • English Language Proficiency: It will be waived if students are studying in the CBSE/ ISC/ IB/ IGCSE curriculum or if English is their native language. 
    If you do not have this profile, we recommend you take any of the tests listed below.
    • TOEFL IBT with a minimum score of 80 (Internet-based); 213 (Computer base) or 550 (Paper base) Wesleyan's identification code for the TOEFL 5895
    • IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 overall or 5.5 sub-scores
    • GTEC CBT with a minimum score of 1190 (Internet based)
    • Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105
    • PTE Academic with a minimum score of 58
STEP 3: Secure Your Spot

 

Once accepted, secure your spot in the class by submitting the admission deposit. International students will submit a $1,000 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable after May 1. You may deposit here.

 

STEP 4: Pre-Arrival Information
  • I-20: After being accepted at Wesleyan College and with the $300 Enrollment deposit paid, the Office of Admission will issue your I-20. You can deposit your enrollment fee here.
  • SEVIS Transfer Students: If you attend High School in the United States. Your home institution must transfer your SEVIS record to Wesleyan College. The transfer code for Wesleyan College is: ATL214F00237000. After your record is successfully transferred, you will mail your new I-20 form along with your acceptance letter.  
  • International Mailing Service: We will mail you your I-20 and acceptance letter using the  UEMS courier.
  • Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee: After receiving your I-20 form, pay the SEVIS I-901 fee and print your receipt FMJfee.com. You must pay this fee before you schedule your F-1 visa interview.
  • Apply for F-1 Student Visa: Apply and schedule your F-1 Visa interview with a U.S. embassy or consular office in your area. Please visit the U.S. State Department.
    For more information about the F-1 visa process, please visit the official Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs.
  • Visa Appointment: Please bring all documents to your interview.
  • These will include your I-20 form, acceptance letter, bank statement(s), certification of finance, passport, receipts of all fees paid, and any additional supporting documents that the consular office may request. 
  • Entering the US: You can only enter the US up to 30 days before the program start date on your I-20; not earlier!
  • Final City Destination: Purchase a plane ticket to Hartsfield-Jackson, Atlanta International Airport. This will be your final city destination.
  • Airport Transportation: Wesleyan will provide free airport transportation from international and local terminals to the campus in Macon.
     
  • Early/Late Arrival: If you experience any conflicts with early arrivals or delays in your travel journey please contact ypineda@wesleyancollege.edu

  • International Orientation Mandatory: Wesleyan College requires all new international students to attend international orientation and pack weekend. 
STEP 5: Dates & Deadlines
Fall Semester 2024
  • August 1, 2023: Applications Open for Fall 2024
  • February 1, 2024: Nomination and Application deadline for International Premier Scholarships: Great Leaders, CEO and Open World
  • April 15: Application Deadline  
  • May 1: Admission Deposit & Refund Deadline
  • August 12: First Day of Class

Scholarships

International students are considered for International Entrance Scholarship based on their GPA, test scores, and other academic achievements. The scholarships are offered per year from $5,000-$15,000 through a comprehensive and holistic review.

How can I apply for International Entrance Scholarship

When you complete your online application as International First Year Student; you are applying for scholarships at the same time. Therefore, you do not need to complete a second application.

NCAA Division III Athletics

Wesleyan College is home to five NCAA Division III sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and softball. In addition, we offer an award-winning Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian program.
