Steps to start your advanced DEGREE

Interested applicants will be directed to complete an online application, submit a Statement of Purpose, a c.v. or resume, two letters of reference, an official transcript from the institution from which they received their Bachelor’s degree, and evidence that they are prepared for graduate study (either a GRE score or a writing sample). Students who pass the initial screening will be interviewed as part of the application process.

 

Admission Requirements

1. Complete all parts of the application form online, or mail to: Wesleyan College; Office of Enrollment Services; 4760 Forsyth Road; Macon, GA 31210-4462. We prefer that you apply online.

2. Applicants must provide the following:

  • a completed application
  • a Statement of Purpose (approximately 500-1000 words)
  • a curriculum vita or resume
  • two letters of professional reference
  • official transcript from the institution from which a Bachelor's degree was earned
  • evidence of preparation for graduate study: either scores from the Graduate Record Examination (optional), or an academic writing sample (a paper written for a course you completed).
  • an interview (in person, phone, or online, as is convenient to the applicant) with the director of the graduate program, for students who pass the initial screening
     

3. Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4-point scale. Students from universities outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Before starting the program, applicants must have completed an undergraduate course in General or Introductory Psychology, and an undergraduate course in statistics.
