Dr. Dwight E. Hines, Executive MBA program director and chair of the business department earned his EMBA from Wesleyan in 2012, Hines has served the College as adjunct professor for business and economics since January 2013. Dr. Hines is an Air Force veteran, retiring after 22 years of service, serving in many capacities. For the last 10 years, Dr. Hines held the position of senior accountant at Robins Air Force base, which included duties as a financial analyst and air base wing commander for financial oversight of the Force Support Squadron. Earlier this year, he earned his doctorate in business administration from Argosy University in Atlanta.
Dr. Hines has been honored with several awards during his career including 78th Comptroller, Civilian of the Year in 2016 and 78th Comptroller, Civilian of the Quarter in 2012. He is a church ministry leader, a member of American Society of Military Comptrollers, and was elected to represent Robins AFB in the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Program, class of 2013.
Wesleyan’s Executive MBA program, designed for mid- to senior-level managers, requires at least five years of leadership experience. The program enrolls women and men providing opportunities for all professionals in Middle Georgia to take ownership of their future and advance their careers and interact with other mid- to senior-level managers in fields such as financial services, government administration, manufacturing, general management, and business owners.
Dr. Hines said, “Our goal is to continue to intellectually and professionally develop some of the best and brightest future senior managers who will be prepared to make an impact in their careers and in their communities.”
The flexible schedule means classes meet every other weekend over 18 months, allowing students to continue growing in their careers while pursuing an advanced business degree. Students spend 10 to 14 days studying outside the United States under an intense itinerary. Past trips included visits to major companies in China, Russia, Austria, Hungary, Dubai, Italy, and the Czech Republic. The program is currently enrolling for fall semester.
