COVID-19 Willet Library 

Librarians and library assistants will adhere to CDC guidelines and Wesleyan College Campus Policies.
  • Monday through Friday National Cleaning Services will clean and disinfect lounges, kitchens, stairwells, hallways, bathrooms and other high touch areas like door handles.
  • Library staff will use safe handling protocols when checking out and checking in resources.
  • Library instruction and reference meetings may be handled remotely as deemed necessary.
  • If remote access is not an option, librarians meeting with students will either practice social distancing or wear a mask.
Faculty, staff, and students
  • All faculty, staff, and students will be required to practice social distancing. Willet Library has been set up for social distancing. DO NOT move the furniture.
  • Do not enter the building if your temperature is 100.3 or higher.
  • You must wear a mask in all public spaces.
  • Follow all signage and adhere to social distancing protocols set up by Wesleyan College.
  • Study spaces must be reserved in advance and all rooms will be locked. You must ask for the key at the front desk.
  • Clean all spaces prior to using with the provided cleaning supplies. Do not spray directly onto electronics.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands when you enter the building and after touching your face.
  • Please clean all handles, knobs, and surfaces in the kitchen prior to use.
Wesleyan affiliated Visitors (alumnae, trustees, and guests accompanied by students, faculty, or staff)
  • Guests will be required to have their temperature taken upon entering the building.
    • Visitors with a temperature of 100.3 or higher will not be given access to the library.

  • Visitors to Willet Library must make an appointment prior to using the library. All visitors are restricted to one one-hour appointment per day.
  • Visitors to the Archives may be asked to split into smaller groups of 2-3 people.
  • The Archives will be limited to one researcher at a time. Researchers may be given extended time as needed.
Makerspace Policies
  • Access to the Makerspace is limited to one person at a time. There will be no 24-hour access to the Makerspace at this time.
  • New users will be required to watch video tutorials and pass an online quiz before access is granted to the room.

 

Calendar of Events

Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1:30 – 5:00 PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
