Don't Forget Items!

There is so much to remember to pack for college! Here is a list of recommended items for incoming and returning students. Of course, every student has different needs, but this is a good place to start. Items we consider essential are starred (*).

Allowable and Prohibited Items

Our primary concern in the residence halls is student safety. For that reason, some items are banned due to risk or fire or other injury. As a general rule, any item with open flame or exposed heating element is prohibited. A comprehensive list can be found in the Wesleyanne Student Handbook. Some examples of allowed and prohibited items:

Allowed

  • Heated hair styling tools with automatic shut-off
  • Coffee maker with automatic shut-off

  • Refrigerator (1 per room, maximum size of 4.3 cubic feet)

Bed and Bath
Wortham, Persons, Hightower and Jones beds are standard twin size. Apartment beds are full size.

Calendar of Events

Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1-5PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.

NCAA Division III Athletics

Wesleyan College is home to five NCAA Division III sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and softball. In addition, we offer an award-winning Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian program.
