New Student Orientation

Welcome to Wesleyan! New students at Wesleyan must plan to attend our orientation sessions for new students. Orientation is a VERY important part of your start at Wesleyan.

AARDVARK for New Students Enrolling Fall 2013:
What’s AARDVARK? AARDVARK stands for Academic Advising and Registration Day, Virtual and Real Kind. AARDVARK is a day for you to meet with a College adviser and get registered for your Fall classes at Wesleyan. In addition to getting registered, concurrent sessions will run through the day in regards to Financial Aid, Student Affairs and Academic Life at Wesleyan.

How do I register for AARDVARK?
All deposited students will have received an email about filling out the Advising Questionnaire, where you will RSVP either ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for AARDVARK 2013.

What if I’m an out-of-state student or an international student?
No need to worry! If you are unable to be on-campus during AARDVARK, you can either call or Skype with a College adviser to get registered for your courses.

When and where will AARDVARK take place?
Friday, June 21^st between 9am-4pm. Students will be assigned a registration and advising appointment time. We ask that you check-in at least one hour prior to your advising time. You are not required to stay the entirety of AARDVARK.

FALL ORIENTATION 2013

What’s after AARDVARK? Fall Orientation! Fall Orientation is mandatory for all incoming students to Wesleyan. You’ll meet faculty and staff, get to know your way around campus, and start making friends with other new students as well as our enthusiastic, knowledgeable orientation staff. Classes for the Fall 2013 semester begin on August 21, 2013. Move In & Fall Orientation is August 17-20, 2013.

How will I get to Wesleyan?
Groom Transportation provides a shuttle service from the Atlanta airport directly to the college campus. The cost is $31. The number is (478) 471-1616 or you can look at the website www.groometransportation.com.

International Students, We’re at Your Service!
International and Exchange Students may arrive on-campus beginning Monday, August 12, 2013 and will need to be on-campus by Wednesday, August 14, 2013. A brief International Orientation will be held beginning August 15th and international/exchange students will still need to attend Fall Orientation which begins August 17, 2012. When you arrive on campus a designated orientation leader will meet you and help you check in to your room. If you plan to arrive early it is imperative that you contact the Office of Student Affairs (at 478-757-5214) and inform us of your intended arrival date. During Orientation you will attend all the same sessions as our domestic students and will also have a few special sessions specifically designed to help ease your transition into life at Wesleyan and Macon, Ga.
