Jones Hall

Jones Hall is named in honor of C. Baxter and Carolyn Cater Jones. Mrs. Jones is a graduate of Wesleyan (Class of 1917), and Mr. Jones rendered valuable services as a trustee and college attorney over many years. Jones Hall was constructed in 1959 as a suite - style residence hall with extensive cosmetic changes in the summer of 1999.

Jones Hall is situated on a hill with a beautiful garden beside Foster Lake and has picturesque views of the lake and horse pastures making it a popular wedding and outdoor event venue. As a home to the Center for Community Engagement, a Conference Room, and Overnight Suite accommodations on the first floor, Jones offers housing for students, outside groups, and camps on the second and third floors. And the tastefully decorated first-floor suites offer sleeping accommodations for overnight stays. Every room is wired for high-speed internet access as well as television basic cable service.
