Come celebrate Alumnae Weekend – It’s not just for reunion classes!

11:30am   Early registration for the Class of 1966 and classes before 1966. Foyer, Candler Alumnae Center. Enjoy Lemonade on the Lawn in front of Candler.   
12:30pm    Luncheon honoring the Class of 1966 and classes before 1966. Entertainment by The Wesleyannes. Oval Hall, Candler Alumnae Center.

2-5:30pm   Registration. Foyer, Candler Alumnae Center.

2:30-3:30pm   Branching Out: What’s New at Wesleyan. A Conversation with President Ruth Knox ’75. Pierce Chapel. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center.

2:30-5pm  Nursing Lab Tour. Visit with nursing staff in Munroe Science Center, 2nd Floor. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center.
Self-Guided Campus Tour. Visit campus sights at your leisure. Maps provided in tote bags and at Registration.

3:30-4:20pm   Back to College: Child Psychology. Shelly Martin, Ph.D. Taylor Hall, Room 127. Class will discuss gender roles in children, and how parents' marital status, television, peers, and teachers influence these roles. Transportation available to Taylor.    

3:45-5pm   Pierce Chapel on Tour. Transportation available form Candler Alumnae Center.

6pm   Celebration Concert. Music faculty, students including The Wesleyannes, and reunion class alumnae perform live on stage. Porter Family Memorial Auditorium. 

7:15-8:30pm   The Presidents’ Reception. Hosted by President Ruth Knox, Alumnae Association President Melanie Filson Lewis ’93, and Past Presidents of the WCAA. Ticket required. Oval Hall, Candler Alumnae Center.

8:30pm   Scheduled Reunion Class Parties. SATURDAY, APRIL 16


8-9:15am   Strawberry Breakfast. All classes, Conservatory and College. Burden Parlor and Mount Vernon Porch, Olive Swann Porter Building. Ticket required.            

9-11am   Late Registration. Limited seating available for food events. The Loggia.

9:30-10:30am   Reunion Class Meetings. Assigned areas. Non-reunion class alumnae meet in Hurdle Café, Olive Swann Porter Building.  
For Men Only: Join Nick Stenenck, Ph.D. for a discussion on Contemporary Terrorism. Room 107, Ground floor, Willet Memorial Library. Contact (478) 757-5172 for more information.
10:00am   Seniors and Candlelighters Assemble. Benson Room, Candler Alumnae Center.          

10:45am   Alumnae assemble for Parade of Classes. NON-REUNION classes welcome to line up behind reunion classes. Tate Quadrangle.            

11am   Wesleyan College Alumnae Association Annual Meeting. Porter Family Memorial Auditorium.

1pm   Sisterhood Luncheon. Ticket required. Anderson Dining Hall.
2:15-4pm   Nursing Lab Open House. Visit with nursing staff in Munroe Science Center, 2nd Floor and tour the new facilities. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center.
2:15-5pm   Trolley Tours of Campus. Depart from Candler Alumnae Center. Tours leave at 2:15 and 3:30pm. Guided by Wesleyan students.  Self-Guided Campus Tour. Visit campus sights at your leisure. Maps provided in tote bags.
2:30pm    I AM WESLEYAN: A Leadership Workshop for Alumnae Volunteers. Be all YOU can be FOR Wesleyan. Join members of the WCAA Board of Managers for a crash course in how to volunteer for Wesleyan. Benson Room, Candler Alumnae Center.  
3-4pm    Springtime in the Arboretum. Visit Anderson Cabin and explore nature trails with Arboretum Director Jim Ferrari, Ph.D. See the natural playground, Wesleyan’s giant tulip tree, and learn about the many birds, trees, and flowers that call the Arboretum home. Bring your walking shoes! Depart from Mathews Athletic Center. Locker rooms open. Shuttle available from Loggia to Mathews.

4:30pm   Alumnae/Student Soccer Game: The Tradition Continues. Use locker rooms in Mathews Athletic Center. Shuttle available from Loggia to the game.          
6:30-8pm   Fiesta by the Fountain. Celebrate the colors of sisterhood and enjoy food, fun, and entertainment by the fountain. Get your class cheer on! Visit with current and former faculty. Rain location: Anderson Dining Hall. Ticket required.

8pm    Scheduled Reunion Class Parties.

8:30am   Continental Breakfast. Corn Center (Ground Floor), Pierce Chapel. Ticket required.            

9am   Morning Watch. Worship service for all classes. Led by the Class of 1966. Pierce Chapel.


Additional Events and Information
Alumnae Marketplace on the Loggia. Enjoy shopping for special gifts from alumnae vendors. Sales benefit the College. Friday, 2-4pm and Saturday, 2-5pm. Rain location: Olive Swann Porter Lobby

Art Exhibits. Cowles Myles Collier Galleries, Porter Family Memorial Auditorium. Galleries open Friday, 1-5pm and Saturday, 2-5pm. West Gallery-Works on Paper: Selections from Wesleyan’s Collection.

“Early Bird” Back to College. Friday. Come early to “sit in” on real time classes with students: Women’s Issues in Contemporary Art (9-9:50am, Murphey Art Building 104, Libby Bailey, Ph.D.) and Survey of British Literature II (10-10:50am, Ground Floor, Tate 19, Regina Oost,  Ph.D.).

Bookstore Hours: Friday, 10am-5pm and Saturday, 10am-6pm (Closed from 12-1pm).

Sisters 4 Sisters Porch Party. For Classes 2006-2015. Saturday, 5-6:30pm at Jones Hall, Back Porch. Come learn about Sisters 4 Sisters with President Knox. All class members welcome.

Reception for Benson and Society Members. By invitation only. Saturday, 6pm in Burden Parlor. President Ruth Knox will toast alumnae who have given $1,000 or more to Wesleyan during this fiscal year and/or have included Wesleyan in their estate plans. Questions? SLI Reunion. By invitation only. Summer Leadership Institute alumnae are invited to celebrate 15 years of travel, educational, and philanthropic experiences as members of this prestigious program. Join SLI trustees, faculty sponsors, and alumnae on Saturday, 7:30pm at Bradley House. Hosted by President Ruth Knox.

Wesleyan Nursing 1 Year Reunion. By invitation only for Nursing alumnae and current nursing students. Saturday, 7:30pm. 2nd Floor Terrace, Munroe Science Center. Hosted by Wesleyan College Nursing Faculty.

MORE Time Out for Hangin’ Out. Under the Tents. Look for your class mascot tent decorated by current students! Meet between reunion events with GKs, PKs, Pirates, and GHs from all classes. Share more times to remember!
Visit the Confucius Institute and Chinese Art Gallery. Ground floor, Willet Memorial Library. The new Institute fosters academic and cultural exchange and the historic connection between Wesleyan and China.

Weekend Workout. Use Mathews Athletic Center facilities. Locker rooms available. Friday, 7am-9pm and Saturday, 9am-6pm.

Men’s Lounge: Located in Hurdle Café, Olive Swann Porter Building. Enjoy comfy chairs, coffee, tea, and TV.
