Alumnae Weekend – it’s not just for reunion classes!


11:30am  Early registration for the Class of 1965 and classes before 1965.  Foyer, Candler Alumnae Center. Enjoy Lemonade on the Lawn in front of Candler. 

12:30pm Luncheon honoring the Class of 1965 and classes before 1965. Oval Hall, Candler Alumnae Center. 

2-5:30pm  Registration. Foyer, Candler Alumnae Center.

2:30-3:30pm What’s New at Wesleyan. A Conversation with President Ruth Knox ’75. Burden Parlor, Olive Swann Porter Building.

2:30-5pm  Taylor on Tour. Join Wesleyan professors and students for a guided tour of renovated Taylor Hall. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center. 

Nursing Lab Tour.
Visit with nursing staff in Munroe Science Center, 2nd Floor. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center.

Pierce Chapel Tour. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center.

2:30-3:30pm  Back to College. Forensic Biology 101: The Case of the Missing Wesleyanne! Presented by Holly Boettger-Tong, Ph.D. Class limited to 15 participants. Spectators welcome. Munroe Science Center, Room 131.

3:30-4:20pm  Back to College. Survey of United States Literature. Matt Martin, Ph.D. Tate Hall, Room 214 OR Abnormal Psychology. Shelly Martin, Ph.D. Taylor Hall, Room 127.          

6pm   Celebration Concert. Music faculty, students including The Wesleyannes, and reunion class alumnae perform live on stage. Porter Family Memorial Auditorium.  

7:15-8:30pm  The Presidents’ Reception. Hosted by President Ruth Knox, Alumnae Association President Ashley Garrett ’90, and Past Presidents of the WCAA. By reservation only. Ticket required. Oval Hall, Candler Alumnae Center. 

8:30pm  Scheduled Reunion Class Parties.


8-9:15am  Strawberry Breakfast. All classes, Conservatory and College. Burden Parlor and Mount Vernon Porch, Olive Swann Porter Building. Ticket required.   

9-11am  Late Registration. Limited seating available for food events. The Loggia.

9:30-10:30am  Reunion Class Meetings. Assigned areas. Non-reunion class alumnae meet in Hurdle Cafe, Olive Swann Porter Building. 
10:20am  Seniors and Candlelighters Assemble. Benson Room, Candler Alumnae Center. 

10:45am Alumnae assemble for Parade of Classes. Tate Quadrangle.
11am Wesleyan College Alumnae Association Annual Meeting. Porter Family Memorial Auditorium.
1pm  Sisterhood Luncheon. By reservation only. Ticket required. Anderson Dining Hall.

2:15-4pm  Nursing Lab Open House. Visit with nursing staff in Munroe Science Center and tour the new facilities. Transportation available from Candler Alumnae Center. 

2:15-5pm  Trolley Tours of Campus. Depart from Candler Alumnae Center. Tours leave at 2:15 and 3:30pm. Guided by Wesleyan students.  

Self-Guided Campus Tour. Maps provided in tote bags and at Registration.      

2:30pm Chapel Chat: Women in the Bible. Presented by Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Vivia L. Fowler. Pierce Chapel. 

3-4 pm Cabin Fever in the Arboretum. Visit Anderson Cabin and the new Ellen Ann Edenfield Pavilion. Explore nature trails with Wesleyan professor Patrick Pritchard, Ph.D. and Barry Rhoades, Ph.D. Depart from Mathews Athletic Center. Locker rooms open. Shuttle available from Loggia to Mathews. 

4:30pm  Alumnae/Student Soccer Game: The Tradition Continues. Use locker rooms in Mathews Athletic Center. Shuttle available from Loggia to the game.
6:30-8pm  Fiesta by the Fountain. Join us for a colorful celebration of sisterhood. Food, fun, and entertainment, including a Washboard Band reunion performance with President Knox. Rain location: Anderson Dining Hall. Ticket required.

8pm  Scheduled Reunion Class Parties.


8:30 am  Continental Breakfast. Jones Hall, Back Porch. Rain location: Pierce Chapel, Ground Floor. Ticket required.

9am  Morning Watch. Worship service for all classes. Led by the Class of 1965. Pierce Chapel.



Alumnae Marketplace on the Loggia. Enjoy shopping for special gifts from alumnae vendors. Sales benefit the College. Friday, 2-4pm and Saturday, 2-5pm.

“Early Bird” Back to College. Friday. Come early to “sit in” on real time classes with students: Women’s Issues in Contemporary Art (9 - 9:50am, Murphey Art Building 104, Libby Bailey, Ph.D.); Readings in Religious Studies (10-10:50am, Taylor 221, Debra Williams ’12)

Bookstore Hours: Friday, 8:30am-5pm and Saturday, 10am-7pm (Closed from 12-1pm).

Preview Day for Prospective Students, Friday, April 17th. Bring a prospective student with you to reunion and show her everything Wesleyan has to offer. The Admission Office is planning a full day of activities, including presentations on the admission process and financial aid, a campus tour, and an opportunity for the student to attend class. Call 478-757-5139 to reserve a spot for your student.

Sisters 4 Sisters Porch Party. For Classes 2005-2014. Saturday, 5-6:30pm at Jones Hall Back Porch. Come learn about Sisters 4 Sisters with President Knox. All class members welcome.

Wesleyan Disciples 10 Year Reunion. By invitation only for Wesleyan Disciples alumnae. Saturday, 7:30pm in the Hurdle Cafe. 

Time Out for Hangin' Out. Under the Tents. Look for your class mascot tent. Meet in between reunion events with GHs, GKs, Pirates, and PKs from all classes. Let the Gab-fest begin!

Visit the Confucius Institute and Chinese Art Gallery. Ground floor, Willet Memorial Library. The new Institute fosters academic and cultural exchange and the historic connection between Wesleyan and China. 

Weekend Workout. Use Mathews Fitness Center facilities. Locker rooms available.
