APPLICATION INFORMATION

nursing applications to the bsn program are accepted based on the following schedule:

FALL SEMESTER BSN COHORT

Application Available: First Wednesday in October
Application Deadline: February 1

SPRING SEMESTER BSN COHORT

Application Available: First Wednesday in April
Application Deadline: August 1

 

How to Apply

  • Apply to Wesleyan College and the Nursing program online for no cost. 
  • Register for HESI A2 exam (fee for exam is $60).
  • HESI A2 exam must be taken at Wesleyan College during application period



 

 


Admission Requirements

Admission to Wesleyan College does not guarantee admission to the Nursing Program. The Nursing Program is full time; class and clinical times can vary throughout the week. Please refer to the Wesleyan College catalogue.
 

Application Process

  1. Students should consult with advisors to ensure all necessary requirements to apply to the BSN Program are met. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that all requirements published on the official website and catalog are met.
  2. Not all qualified applicants will be admitted due to space limitations in the cohort.
  3. In order to apply, students must complete the following by the deadline:
    • Obtain acceptance to Wesleyan College.
    • Submit a completed online application.
    • Obtain a satisfactory score on the Health Education Services, Inc. (HESI) Admission Assessment Exam (A2).
    • Obtain a grade of “C” or higher in pre-nursing Math, Science, and Psychology courses.

Admission Process

  1. Admission decisions are made by the Wesleyan College Division of Nursing based on criteria approved by the nursing faculty.
  2. Students will be notified of acceptance decisions within 4-6 weeks of the application deadline.
  3. Accepted students must meet the requirements specified in their acceptance letter in order to secure their placement in the BSN Program.
  4. Once accepted, students must:
    1. Complete all concentration classes or their equivalents and have no more than six hours of required proficiency and general education classes outstanding prior to the first day of class in the BSN Program.
    2. Satisfy program orientation and on-boarding requirements.

The program is accredited by Georgia Board of Nursing and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
