Loan Periods for Wesleyan Students on Circulating Items

The standard loan period for Wesleyan students is three weeks with two renewals allowed (if no one else is waiting for the item). Some items circulate for one week, including juvenile materials and scores. Other specific items such as periodicals, videos, and listening room recordings do not circulate. A campus ID is used to check out materials and should be brought to the Library whenever a student plans to use Library materials. Students may check due dates and renew their own items at the library web site. Items can only be renewed 3 days before the due date. Once overdue, an item cannot be renewed.

Fines
The loan period for regular circulating items is three weeks. After three weeks, items become overdue. There is a three week grace period after an item becomes overdue. Once the item is more than three weeks overdue, the patron will be charged an automatic replacement fee of $40.00. When the item is returned, the fine will drop down to $5.00.
