One of Wesleyan's strongest traditions is our class system. No, it's definitely nothing like the one Marx critiqued. It's based on a strong class-year system going back to the early 1900's. Each class is identified by a color and a mascot. They even have their own songs and cheers.
Another one of our most popular traditions would have to be the annual class theatrics of STUNT. Performed each year since 1897, classes write, direct, act, and produce their own skits to raise money for scholarships.
We could go on and on about our traditions. We could tell you about the candlelighting ceremony in which seniors are inducted into our Alumnae Association. Or the Marker Ceremony for seniors . . . Well, the list goes on. But we'll save the rest for when you come and visit.
