Veterropt
The college yearbook derives its name from the Latin words 'veterriumus' and 'optimus,' meaning 'oldest' and 'best.' It serves as a pictorial record of the activities and members of the Wesleyan community.

The editor is elected by the student body. The editor, in conjunction with the Director of Student Activities, appoints staff members to other yearbook positions. Interested students may apply to the editor and Director of Student Activities to join the staff each fall. Members of the Veterropt staff must meet all student organization eligibility requirements as stated in the Student Handbook. The editor of the Veterropt holds a seat on Senate. Veterropt editor position is currently open.

Wesleyan Magazine of the Creative Arts - The Visionary

The Visionary is a collection of art, poetry, short stories, etc., created by Wesleyan students, faculty and staff.  View the current online edition of Wesleyan's Creative Arts Magazine, The Visionary.

The editorial Board consists of the editor, associate editor, business manager, and if applicable, the literary editor and art editor. The editor of The Visionary holds a seat on Senate. Wesleyan students, faculty and staff are welcome to contribute original works to be considered for publication.

Scribes are chosen through the magazine annually on the basis of their work and are recognized at the spring Awards Day convocation. Scribes may have their work published in either a separate section of one issue of the magazine or a separate Scribe’s issue of the magazine. The Wesleyan Word
The Wesleyan Word, Wesleyan's online student newspaper, is published during the academic year and is circulated to the entire Wesleyan community. The newspaper offers affordable advertising rates and reaches a diverse readership. An online version is updated weekly: The Wesleyan Word.

The Wesleyan Word recognizes its responsibility to the student body to produce a publication based upon professional standards of language, accuracy, objectivity and fair play. The newspaper strives to encompass all areas of student life.

The Wesleyan Word staff is selected on the basis of past publication experience, interest and ability. A student with at least one year of experience on the editorial staff will fill the position of the editor. The positions of associate editor and managing editor will be filled by persons with at least one year of experience on the staff. The remaining editorial staff positions will be filled by someone above the ranking of a first semester first-year student. This staff will be chosen by an editorial staff vote. The editor must be approved by a vote of the student body. The editor of The Wesleyan Word holds a seat on Senate. The 2009-2010 editor is Dana Amihere.
