Student Recreation Council
The Student Recreation Council (SRC) provides an array of events for all students, ranging from sports like soccer, basketball and dodge ball, to leisure activities such as rock climbing, bowling, camping and white water rafting. SRC members are elected by their peers in the spring semester for the following academic year; first-year students are elected in the fall semester. SRC places emphasis on good sportsmanship and spirit. This aids in providing an ambiance of fun and cooperation for everyone involved, particularly within the class intramural sports such as soccer, basketball and dodgeball. Along with providing a myriad of events on and off campus, SRC is also a firm supporter of intercollegiate activities. SRC sponsors the Equestrian Club, Fencing Club, and SPLINTERS, an athletic honors society. SRC meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Meetings are open to all students. For more information, contact the SRC President, Maddie Allsup.
