History
Hightower Hall is named in honor of the late Julian and Grace Laramore Hightower. Mrs. Hightower was a 1920 graduate of Wesleyan and later a trustee of the college.
Residential Environment
Hightower Hall has accommodated many students in the past years. Typically housing upper-class students, Hightower offers residents the close-knit community of a residence hall and the programming and educational efforts of upper-class residents. For the 2006-2007 Academic Year, Hightower will be closed to students in order to complete some minor renovations. Upon reopening, we know students will have a welcoming environment in which to reside comfortably.
Any community housed in Hightower has been vibrant, trusting, and respectful. Often times the sound of the piano being played can be heard throughout the hall. |
