Since I transferred to Wesleyan, I never doubt getting into an excellent graduate program. Right away my confidence and self esteem increased. Here, I am surrounded by positive people who advocate for independent, successful, strong, professional women.

Between pursuing a double major in studio art and art history and working part-time, I have a completely hectic schedule!  While I was preparing a senior art history thesis, I was also finishing several large scale paintings for an exhibition in Wesleyan’s main gallery.  During the summer break, I interned with the International Fine Arts Conservation Studio restoring the exterior decorative faux finish on the 1918 mansion El Jardin. It was a great opportunity that I pursued through my work with The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.

I feel well-prepared for a graduate program in art conservation. The small seminar-styled classes at Wesleyan offer a learning environment where students have an opportunity to be heard and to build close relationships with professors. I work so closely with my professors that I feel like I’m not just another face — I’m a person they'll always remember.
