Student Profile: Currently, 606 women are enrolled in our undergraduate programs for women.  Co-ed graduate programs currently enroll 101 students. Of all full-time students, 32% are minority races and another 15% are international students.  136 new students entered Fall 2007 semester, with average SAT of 1140 and average high school GPA of 3.5.

Faculty:
Of the 52 full-time faculty members teaching at Wesleyan, 49 hold PhDs or terminal degrees in their fields.  Our student to faculty ratio is 10:1.

Degrees Offered:
Bachelor of Arts degrees offered to women; Master of Arts and Executive Master of Business Administration offered to both men and women.

Expenses:
2007-2008 Tuition is $16,500 a year; Room & Board is $7,600 a year. Approximately 85% of students currently receive financial aid, including HOPE funding and federal aid.

Athletics:
Five NCAA III Intercollegiate Women athletic programs include basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, and tennis.  Championship IHSA Equestrian program is offered, as well as an intramural women athletic program.

Environment:
The College’s beautiful 200-acre wooded campus, along with thirty historically significant buildings, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the Wesleyan College Historic District. Wesleyan is nestled in a northern suburb of Macon, the third largest city in the state. Beautiful, white-columned Georgian-styled buildings surround a classic quadrangle which plays host to many college events. Residence halls have been recently renovated. A fine equestrian center and athletic complex (with fitness center, tennis courts, track, and lighted softball and soccer fields) complete the campus offerings.

About the School:
Wesleyan College was founded in 1836 as the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Today it is regarded as one of the nation’s finest liberal arts colleges and is consistently recognized for academic excellence.

Students from across the U.S. and sixteen other countries value a rigorous academic program renowned for its quality. An exceptional faculty teaches classes in seminar style. A student-faculty ratio of 10:1 ensures that students are known by more than just a grade or a number. The acceptance rate of Wesleyan students into medical, law, business, and other graduate programs is exemplary.

The school offers undergraduate degrees in 35 majors and 29 minors including self-designed majors and interdisciplinary programs, as well as eight pre-professional programs including seminary, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, health sciences, dental, and law. A $12.5 million science center will add to the College’s offerings fall semester, 2007. Master of arts degrees in education and an accelerated Executive Master of Business Administration program enroll both men and women. Wesleyan also offers a dual-degree program in engineering with the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta; Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama; and Mercer University in Macon.

Beyond the academic, Wesleyan offers a thriving residence life program, NCAA Division III athletics, championship IHSA equestrian program, and meaningful opportunities for community involvement and leadership.
