Michelle Nunn delivers powerful 2010 commencement address
Wesleyan’s graduating seniors anxiously awaited the call to action and inspiration of commencement speaker Michelle Nunn, a nationally recognized agent of change and leader of the world’s largest global volunteer network. Wesleyan graduated 106 candidates for undergraduate degrees and 24 for Master of Arts degrees on May 15, 2010.
Wesleyan Dean receives prestigious Medallion Award
Wesleyan College Dean Dr. Vivia Lawton Fowler returned to her alma mater, Columbia College, in South Carolina to receive the prestigious Medallion Award at a dinner and awards ceremony held in November. Fowler was one of three honorees to receive the 2009 Medallion Award, along with Emory University Dean Dr. Jan Love and 2009 National Mother of the Year Betty Ulmer McGregor.
Wesleyan Professor receives prestigious Accounting Educator Award
Wesleyan College Associate Professor of Accounting Dr. Kel-Ann Eyler was awarded the Accounting Educator of the Year Award from the Georgia Society for CPAs (GSCPA). Each year, the prestigious award is presented by the GSCPA Educational Foundation to one educator who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to educating accountants.

Wesleyan College’s 95 graduating seniors anxiously awaited the call to action and inspiration of Charlene Payne Kammerer, the first woman to be ordained Bishop of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. The Wesleyan alumna (class of 1970) returned to her alma mater as the 2007 commencement speaker.

The award is given annually to individuals whose dedication and service to the legal profession and the law school deserves special recognition.

Wesleyan College broke ground on its $12.5 million Munroe Science Center Friday, March 3, 2006 at 11am. The groundbreaking of this highly anticipated center marks the beginning of construction for Wesleyan's first academic building in more than 40 years.
