The George Foster Pierce Leadership Society honors a special community of alumnae and friends who express support for Wesleyan by making leadership gifts to the Annual Fund each fiscal year. Wesleyan has grown exponentially in size and impact from its early days with 90 female students and Reverend George Foster Pierce as its first President. With this history of leadership, achievement and growth as its inspiration, the Pierce Leadership Society seeks an initial cadre of 90 generous donors to provide funding for Wesleyan’s ever-increasing and diverse annual funding needs so that the College can continue to enhance its programs and expand its impact in important ways.
Newly established in fiscal year 2006, the Pierce Leadership Society is already a significant team of supporters – contributing 59% of all gifts to last year’s Annual Fund. Through their generous support, Pierce members promote progress in all aspects of the Wesleyan experience as they provide substantial funding for our day-to-day operations and flexible resources to meet greatest needs.
