Experience a great Exchange with the Martins in Lithuania
Matthew R. Martin, Ph.D., Wesleyan College Professor of English, was awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture at Vilnius Pedagogical University in Vilnius, Lithuania. According to the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, Martin is one of approximately 800 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program during 2007-2008.

Unlike the majority of those 800 Fulbright Scholars traveling abroad, Matt Martin packed up his entire family – wife and fellow Wesleyan professor Shelly plus three kids Caroline, Grace, and Thomas – and headed to Lithuania. From February to June 2008, Martin will teach a survey in American literature to third year undergraduates and lead a creative writing seminar for masters level students at Vilnius Pedagogical University.  Every minute not spent in class is a learning experience, too.
