Wesleyan Softball Drops Two to #22 Emory University
The Wesleyan College softball team took the field against #22 Emory University, losing the first game of the day 10-0 and the second game 17-1. Emory ace Kathy Gordon made quick work of the Pioneers, facing only 16 batters in five innings in the first game. Gordon struck out ten batters while surrendering only one hit to Wesleyan freshman Laura Schorr in the second inning.

Wesleyan Softball Falls to Piedmont in Doubleheader
The Wesleyan College softball team struggled against league-leading Piedmont College this afternoon, falling 8-0 in the first game and 12-0 in the second game. Piedmont's pitching proved to be too strong for the Pioneers in the first game, as Meredith Ray faced only 17 batters in five innings, giving up only one hit and striking out six. Wesleyan freshman Laura Schorr broke up Ray's perfect game campaign in the fifth inning with the Pioneers only base hit of the game.

Wesleyan Softball Drops Home Opener to Piedmont College
he Wesleyan College softball team dropped Wednesday night’s home opening double-header to Great South Athletic Conference opponent Piedmont College 5-4 and 9-2. The Pioneers (0-4) proved to be their own worst enemy on the field, committing 11 errors over the course of the two games. Those errors led to nine of Piedmont’s combined 14 runs on the night being unearned.
