Wesleyan's Associate Athletics Director Jason Henry leads our varsity basketball program.  New to Wesleyan in July 2007, Coach Henry relocated to Macon from Piedmont College were he served primarily as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to his two-year service at Piedmont College, Henry worked at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, for one year, as Assistant Athletic Trainer and HPE instructor.

Before his time at Presbyterian, Jason attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK.  During his tenure at SOSU, Henry served as head graduate assistant athletic trainer and student coach for both basketball programs while earning his master’s degree in Secondary Education in May of 2003. In February of 2004 he earned his NATA certification and became a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).

Henry played two years at of college basketball one at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, OK and a short stay at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK, before he was sidelined with injuries. Returning to Carl Albert, Jason began his coaching carrier under Coach Nick Durant and earned his associate’s degree in Health in 1998. He later transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation in May of 2001.

Jason is originally from Heavener, OK, where he played for Heavener High School under Coach Greg Nichols.  He currently resides in Macon, GA, with his wife Haley.
