You may be applying for admission to Wesleyan College as a first-year student or transferring to Wesleyan from another international college or university. Requirements for admission in either situation are listed here.
First-year International Student Admission Requirements
To be accepted for admission at Wesleyan College, all international students must complete the following:
- Submit an application. Apply Online!
Or, download the First Year Student Application Form.
- Submit a $30.00 application fee.
- Provide SAT or ACT scores.
- Send completed recommendation from a teacher.
Teacher Recommendation Form
- Send completed recommendation from a guidance counselor.
Secondary School Counselor Recommendation Form
- Provide official high school and/or college transcripts. (Transcript must be translated into English. Transcript must be adapted to the 4.0 American grade scale.)
- Provide TOEFL scores, if English is not your language of origin.
- Provide transcript evaluation, if you graduated from an accredited high school more than 3 months prior to college. Cost of the evaluation service shall be the responsibility of the student. We recommend the following evaluation service providers: Josef Silny and Associates – www.jsilny.com and Foreign Credential Services of America - www.fcsa.biz
- Complete an International Student Certificate of Finance. The Certificate of Finance must be supplemented with bank or other financial institution records. It must also show the student, family, and/or sponsor’s ability to pay for the cost of attendance at Wesleyan College throughout the four years of attendance. The Certificate of Finance must show available funds for the cost of attendance before the I-20 is issued.
Regarding financial aid, Wesleyan does not provide need-based financial aid. There are academic scholarships offered to international students based on grades and scores on the ACT or SAT tests. No additional application is needed to determine scholarship eligibility since each file is reviewed for scholarships and admission simultaneously.

Transfer International Student Admission Requirements
For transfer students with less than 24 credit hours who wish to be considered for admission, please complete the following:

- Provide SAT or ACT scores.
- Send completed recommendation from an academic advisor and/or professor.

Provide official high school transcript, translated into English and adapted to the 4.0 grade scale.
- Provide official college transcript, translated into English and adapted to the 4.0 grade scale.
- Provide TOEFL scores, if English is not your language of origin.
- Complete a Transcript Evaluation, if you graduated from an accredited high school more than 3 months prior to applying to Wesleyan. The cost of the evaluation service shall be the responsibility of the student. The following services are approved by Wesleyan College: Josef Silny and Associates – www.jsilny.com and World Education Services – www.wes.org
- Complete an International Student Certificate of Finance. This must be supplemented by bank or other financial institution records, and must verify the student, family, and/or sponsor’s ability to pay for the cost of attendance at Wesleyan College throughout the four years of attendance. The I-20 form will not be issued until sufficient financial documentation is shown.
For transfer students with more than 24 college credit hours who wish to be considered for admission, items three (3), five (5) and eight (8) above are waived if a student has more than 24 college credit hours to be transferred.
