Eric O’Dell Solo Exhibition
Wesleyan College presented an exhibition featuring new work by Eric O'Dell in various drawing and painting media. O’Dell is Curator-At-Large at the Macon Museum of Arts & Sciences, Adjunct Professor at Mercer University and has exhibited throughout the southeast.

The Art of Illustration, Work by Lindy Burnett
Lindy Burnett, illustrator and Portfolio Center instructor, exhibited a selection of work in the Murphey Gallery. Lindy has illustrated children’s books and advertising and marketing campaigns for Quaker Oats, Coors, Delta, Kelloggs, Nestles, and Villeroy & Boch.

Cheryl Goldsleger & Larry Millard
Two of the region’s most recognized contemporary artists exhibited together at Wesleyan College during spring 2008. Cheryl Goldsleger’s work in various drawing and painting media, including encaustic, was installed alongside the abstract sculpture of Larry Millard.

Contemporary Art Installation at Wesleyan College
explored the symbol of X

X marked the spot at Wesleyan College when a contemporary art installation by Atlanta artist Elyse Defoor transformed two of the College’s galleries. The large-scale abstract paintings, sculpture, and mixed media of Defoor’s X.U.ME series explored the symbol of X. After a time of obscurity, Defoor intends to bring the symbol and its many past and present connotations to light.  Read more about the exhibition.

Ogden Campbell Collection of Contemporary Art
Wesleyan College recently presented a two gallery exhibition, Helena Eastman Ogden Campbell (1879-1964): American Painter and Collector. Included in the exhibit were the paintings, drawings, and documents of alumna Helena Ogden Campbell plus a wide selection of the traditional early 20th century American representational artwork she collected and donated to the College.
