The Academic Center, located on the ground floor of the Olive Swann Porter Student Center, provides free academic counseling and tutoring for students who need help. Group workshops and individual sessions are available throughout the academic year. Students may drop in for tutoring help or make an appointment with the Director of the Academic Center.
Many students enjoy the state-of-the-art computer lab and smart board technology available in our academic center. The small computer lab setting is a quiet place to study, work on projects, or conduct study groups. Need some extra help with that calculus assignment? No problem, assistance is available in every academic subject. Walk-in tutoring schedules are revised each semester and posted in the center. Plus, the director offers study tips and other resources to ensure students at Wesleyan College excel academically and survive final exams.
The director offers confidential counseling for academic issues with individual students. The Academic Center is also the point of contact for students with disabilities. Wesleyan College adheres to the criteria for documentation based upon the Georgia Board of Regents recommendations. Reasonable accommodations can be made for students who self-identify and register with the director.
